The look back at a creative 2025 continues

2025: A look back: January - March pt2

This is the second part of a multi-part series of posts looking back at a hugely satisfying 2025.

With the shoot with Emma Helena done, it was a gorgeous afternoon drive out of the Netherlands and into Germany for some unrestricted autobahn fun in the old girl. 23 years old and under 35k on the clock, she still has legs.

Settled into my designfabrik on the Friday afternoon.

Saturday saw German model Susann drive over, and we created some lovely images which were a mix of natural light and Godox-powered lighting in my pop-up studio.

On Sunday, I drove the short distance to Solingen train station to collect Anastasiia (Sia). She's based in Ostbevern, but is originally from Ukraine.

With the weekend over, it was time to pack up Alice and head back to Antwerp for the final shoot of the road trip. Raf's place and Russian model, Christall awaited.

We created so many looks that there are a lot of images to share, so strap in!

It was an amazingly fulfilling way to end a whistle-stop tour of the EU.

A long drive home followed, but it was a great time to reflect on a week of creativity, new bonds of friendship, and the possibilities that this type of trip offers. Oh, for a bottomless pit of funds to shoot like this all the time!

March was rounded out with a hop over to Liverpool and John Ayliffe's Libre Studio. A firm budget favourite at only £12 an hour to hire. And a first time working with Gwyneth (Eowyn Luna).

So that's the first quarter of the year all wrapped up. Tomorrow we start in on quarter two and the period of April through to June.
