Art Nude Squared

Back in February, I made the 4-hour drive up to Edinburgh to work with Katy (Caterini). This was at the new to me, but always highly regarded Pavilion Studios in Bathgate, close to Edinburgh itself. It's home to Barrie and Fiona Spence, long-established photographers and tutors.

Their studio is set on a Scotland Trust property, and is very elegant in sculptured grounds. All very picturesque and calm.

Inside is a very usable space, modern with Broncolor Siros heads, numerous modifiers and the option to work natural light with french doors to give a real variety of options. On this day, though, I was all about the studio light. When I'm back up there in a couple of weeks, I will look to capture some video and also plan to make use of the natural light options as well.

Anyway to the shoot, It all flowed very nicely. Katy has a routine of Yoga/art nude poses and unlike any other shoot, she wanted to do this first as she warms up for it. So in 20 minutes I had 450 images… Each one a unique image. I often don't shoot that in an entire shoot, so I knew I would have my work cut out for me post shoot.
