Shoot update

After a brief lull, it's back to shooting today. By the time this goes live, I'll have already braved Britain's useless motorway network to get to the light filled Aura Studios, in Weedon Bec, near Northampton, and a first time working with legendary model Rebecca Perry. I have high hopes for this shoot, our comms so far seem to show we're very closely aligned aesthetically, so I'm anticipating something special output-wise!

Today's contnent

Today's post is a fashion/fashion nude(ish) look shot with Mischkah, all the way back, sometime in 2016/17.

Before she headed off to foreign climes, we worked together 4 times and routinely shot some of my favourite images. With her Cypriot heritage, she always sported a perma-olive skinned toned physique. She understands light, innately, and always hit her marks, crafting images that command attention.

Black and white studio portrait with arms bent outward at the elbows, white lace-up collar and black trousers, nude torso, face turned to the side against a dark background.

On the face of it, this is a very simple look, tailored trousers paired with a shirt bib (not sure of the exact terminology). But Mischkah takes it, runs with it and crafts a range of images from editorial fashion to more fashion nude stylings. All in one set of 20 images.

Monochrome screams editorial and with a white top paired with black tailored trousers, I shot these in colour, always with the intention to convert to B&W. Then we can all just concentrate on the lighting, shadows, contrast and, of course, Mishkah's most excellent shape-shifting.
