Collared

In 2017, I closed my studio (having run out of money) and took a break from photography. A rather long break; 7 years in fact. Towards the end of 2023 I started to feel the itch to create again.

Work had kept me satisfied in the intervening period, but we'd been through COVID-19, and I was feeling the need to stop working if possible and be just happy to create. I think many of us did similar re-evaluations of what was important to us during that time.

I was in London for a work conference in February 2024, and reached out to various models and Verena, replied saying she'd love to shoot. So that's how I found myself in North West London one February evening, working with a model for the first time in many years.
