Dottir in Berlin
Shooting update
Well the shoot schedule for 2026 is closed unless a fortuitous shoot drops into my lap. So focus now turns to a few other areas:
Finalising plans for 2027
I currently have 3 shoots booked in, all at Basford. I expect to shoot far less with models next year. But I think there is at least one road trip in the offing. It's a case of whether I surround myself with Italian or Scandinavian models. Decisions, decisions!
Art books
In the immediate future I have a number of art books and zines to produce with the thousands of images I've created since 2025. Indeed one is needed for the end of this month for the Viewing Room quarterly art book download!
Landscapes and macros/still lifes
My training for the two planned long distance walks in 2027 needs to get going. As a consequence of that I plan to lug a camera and a couple of lenses on my longer walks. This will have the benefit of adding weight to the pack for conditioning as well enabling me to hopefully capture some interesting nature frames.
As the weather takes a turn for the worse, I'll be breaking the product table and lights out and exploring/experimenting with still life subjects and perhaps some macro work. Learn how to focus stack that sort of thing.
So plenty to focus on when the model work dries up!
Today's content
And speaking of road trips we head back to January and the first trip fo the year, which took in London and Berlin.
Today's look features a set from the second shoot of my final day in Berlin. Having shot with Sophia Romanova already that morning, it was time to welcome a model I'd been wanting to shoot for years, Dottir Model.

Dottir, real name Mathilde, like many Scandinavian models has a unique look, understands light and has always looked imperiously brilliant in anything I've seen her do.
Indeed it was a bloody brilliant final day in Germany as I then worked with Claire (Rebirth of the Bird) as the final shoot in Berlin.

This was the fourth look of fourteen that we managed to smash in 4 hours. That's a lot of looks, even for me, but Mathilde was so easy to work with and seemed to nail the look each time in no time at all.
There are 30 images in this fashion set and they are available to all members.
