Emma Helena throwing shapes
Shooting update
Another quietish week this week, three shoots on Thursday at another portfolio day at Silkwood. Well, it's part normal shoot and part portfolio day. In the morning I'm working with Claudia, another model from Sicily, and then I've dedicated the afternoon to two male models. It's only fair they get some opportunities for some decent images as well.
And I've managed to squeeze in another quick shoot with Lucy Stephenson on Wednesday to look at some painterly portraits.
Today's content
But today, we're heading back to my first dalliance in Europe back in March 2025, and this superlative day of natural light shooting with Dutch model, Emma Helena.
When I was putting this trip together, Emma Helena was a cornerstone of the trip so lots of the details (dates/locations) were worked around her availability and location, I valued working with her that much.
I'd been a fan of her mournful portraiture for a long time. I also knew she could throw a shape or three, as well, so I knew I was in for an interesting time trying to make any kind of significant scratching of the surface of her talents.

The studio we worked in that day was due for demolition at the end of that month, so we were the last people to work there. It was a studio more usually used as a natural light lifestyle and content studio, so lots of textured concrete and light surfaces.
This can make for a minimal experience, but we were soon co-opting some of the furniture into looks. Indeed, in the other look from this shoot that has been featured, we used the larger cube as a platform:

Today's look precedes that one and Emma Helena decided to pair her sheer patterned body with the smaller black tiled cube.
