Getting Krafty With It
Irida, Kraft paper, and a plain wall

For today's post and to see out the first week of July, we're going to my latest model shoot with Irida.
Irida, whose full modelling name is Irida the Shapeshifter, is a Greek emigré to the rather cooler shores of the UK. She's made a name for herself as a go-to art nude model from her London base.
Indeed, I've wanted to work with her for some years now and had always struggled to make my dates in London and her availability align.
But serendipity came to the rescue when Leanne at Basfordhurst managed to book her for a studio weekend.
I'm finding these sometimes to be the only way to work with really popular models now. As long as the venue is interesting, it's OK, as you still get 1-2-1 time with a model and exclusive use of the venue.
My shoot with Irida was the last session of a 3-day weekend of bookings. The weather held, and we had the run of both the house and Leanne's extensive grounds, which include a private woodland, stream and outbuildings. Basfordhurst truly does offer a plethora of shooting options.
With a half-day shoot to look forward to, we shot a range of looks, and the set I'm featuring today was the last of our time together. Rather than try to do a standard art nude look, I broke out the Kraft paper and asked Irida is she fancied having a play around.
Thankfully, she did and with a bare wall in the main room, and an AD100 into a parabolic octa we got to work.
There are 25 monochrome art nudes here for you to enjoy, if you are an Archive Room supporter. A 7 day, no-risk, free trial is available, so why not sign up, get access to all my other content and see if you wouldn't like to stay a while and support me to create more art like this?
