Shooting update

Today the family and I are heading off for our annual holiday, this time with the twist that we're inter-railing to Italy. A series of mini city breaks await, taking in Paris, Turin, Florence and Bologna. We're also heading back via the Bernina Pass for some breathtaking Alpine views.

Also starting next month will be a re-introduced paid tier, the Viewing Room. This will provide an extra post a week, featuring exclusively NSFW content, alongside a monthly wallpaper download and a quarterly eBook, all included int he minimal subscription fee. Funds raised will be used to help pay for 2027's shoots and trips. So if you feel you are able to support the work, please do consider upgrading.

Today's content

Today though, it's a short hop back across the Pennines and the time I shot with actor, Madeleine Lloyd-Jones (or Maddy). I'd been let down on the first slot of the portfolio day I was hosting there. Maddy stepped up and had always wanted some Hollywood Lighting portraits done, so we made that the first look of the day.

Maddy is a Liverpool native, so the studio (Libre) was a short hop for her and I've shot there many times before.

I'd never shot Hollywood lighting before, so a quick Internet brush up to see the kit needed, was in order. Know the studio probably didn't have some of the gear I needed, I opted to make use of John's stands but bring all my own modifiers and lighting. More on the specifics of that after the sign up.
