Shoot update

So this week the pace picks up. After a few warm up shoots, and the first portfolio builder day last week, today I'm shooting with UK freelance modelling legend, Artemis Fauna.

A chance casting call over on Purpleport had me reaching out to try to make a shoot happen. Thankfully, it has been, and I'm very much looking forward to what we're going to create together!

Tomorrow, Amelia, my middle daughter, is being ferried back to Liverpool for the second half of her first year studying Law. After taxi driver duties are over, I'm heading down the road to Libre for the first time in 2026 and working with Ukrainian model, Val (Infinity Model), for our third shoot together.

Infinitely Interesting
Art nude wunderkind Val brings her art to the fore in this low-key figure study.

Then on Wednesday, it's the second portfolio builder day at Silkwood and another 4 new models to shoot. I'll cover the next batch of shoots on Thursday's post.

Today's content

We head back to my very first euro photo road trip last March, today.

Alice, my little Porsche, and I packed up and drove to Europe last year. With a great second shoot with Ivory Flame to kick it all off, en route to the Euro Tunnel:

From there it was two days at Raf's studio in Antwerp. Last week's post with Christall was one of the looks shot there:

Getting Krafty With It
Mix Christall, brown paper and a big light…

And then it was onto Solingen, via Utrecht, Where I shot with the expressive Emma Helena, for the first time:

So the weekend saw me in a fantastic designfabrik in Solingen, near Cologne.

The interior of this impressive Airbnb was showcased in the previous shoot featuring Sia:

Bathed in Natural Light
Ukrainian model, Sia, bathed in the German sun shot with a Leica, is a delight to behold.

These images were shot in the pop-up studio I constructed in the kitchen diner. Simple background system with a £30 fabric background. We were effectively shooting in a 2x3m space.
