Shooting update

So for the next couple of days I'm at the fabulous La Maison de Maître, in Brussels shooting with some of the best freelance models working in Europe, currently.

After a full day tomorrow, it's about an hour's drive West to Aalter. On Saturday morning it's up and at them for Sara Scarlet and Christall's second Rococo Events at the Kasteel van Poeke. I'm not a big fan of events, indeed this will be the first event I've attended outside of studio days with 1-2-1 shooting.

There are two main reasons why I've broken with a pretty hard rule of no events; First, it's more akin to a studio day, with dedicated 1-2-1 shooting with the 4 models in attendance. Second, the models themselves make it a safe choice I feel.

Sara Scarlet (whom I'm also working with in August in the UK), Christall (whom I worked with so successfully last March), Regina Piil (that cheeky day trip to Belfast, and a full day in October, later this year) and St Merrique, who I‘ve arranged a pre-event half day with in Brussels. In fact she’s one of my shoots today!

Once the event is done, it's another 40 mins or so to Ostend. I'll be shooting with UK model Rebecca Tun later on Saturday, and then I'll be spending a full day with Canadian art model, Carly Lundy on Sunday. Then home!

But to matters more pressing and today's look. I managed to shoe-horn in a half-day shoot with travelling Thai model, Minh-Ly earlier this year. She was duoing with Holly (Ivory Flame) at Basford, but that date didn't work for me.

Ever a solution seeker, I managed to arrange for her to stop off on her way to that event, the day before, in Birmingham. I'd finished shooting with Tania Rozhko earlier that day, and then we got to work.

This look came towards the end of the shoot and the outfit was a bit of an improvisation as the dress zipper was broken.

So Minh-Ly rapidly made it an advantage/feature and added in some extra fabric to create a flowing masterpiece and turn a fashion set into a fashion nude masterclass.
