Shooting update

All back from Europe now and preparing for my reunion with Belgian model, Sara Scarlet over at Basford, tomorrow. Looking forward to what I and this dynamic, distinctive model can create.

Today I'm featuring another European model, Anna Venice. A Russian emigré, Anna is now based in Paris, and I was delighted to be able to secure a 4-hour shoot with her, back in March.

Some models just exude an energy, and having worked with a number of Eastern European models now, women from this part of the world seem to simply have another quality. They can turn on their appeal or give you a look (not the lethal Slavic stare) in an instant that radically alters your images. I've no idea where it comes from, but Western European models, in my experience, do not seem to possess this. They have equally brilliant qualities to bring to the shoot experience but they don't have this, for some unknown reason. Is it a geographical genetics or a cultural thing? I've no idea. Any respectful thoughts or insights on the matter are welcome, as I find it fascinating.
