Tink, her ink and a scarf - simplicity and beauty

Shooting update

With another successful shoot with Artemis Fauna, done and dusted, yesterday, all focus now shifts to the weekend and the Paris/Antwerp trip.

As I write this post, the battle of how to fit the gear into carry on is resolved. To the point where, despite the slight financial hit, I decided to change the mode of transport and get the Eurostar to Paris. This allows me to take larger bags, and therefore not compromise on a mobile lighting kit. I can probably then also take a background set up as well, to give real options in the Paris apartment. I've settled on this arrangement for an event I'm attending in June, so will be a good trial run for it.

With a couple of last-minute cancellations recently, there's been a bit of last minute rescheduling, but it has also saved on model fees, so I'd rather be able to travel without worry about gear being held up or put in the hold and paying exorbitant airline fees.

Today's content

Today we're hopping back 9 years to my first shoot with the lovely Chloe (models as Tink Kaos nowadays, but was Tink back then).

With an ever-changing tattoo palette, Tink is a creature of re-invention, and so sweet, empathetic and socially conscious. It was a mega bonus that she is a fellow metalhead, so the tunes were always banging and loud on our shoots.

I'm always struck by the stark contrast of some models on and off camera. As I say away from the set, Chloe is a sweetheart, very gentle, softly spoken and generally an earth-loving soul. But switch those lights on and this energy seems to divine through her, creating this posing, visceral experience of attitude, projected anger, fun, and a whole torrent of visually impactful images.

It was always a blast to work with her.

This is a bumper 30 image set, and the remaining images are available to subscribers below the sign-up.
