What's Coming Up

Happy Monday and a new week to you all. As you read this, I'm heading to the fabulous Basfordhurst Cottage photography location for what promises to be a great half day of creativity with the Welsh model Cariad Celis.

We've been asked to go pet sit (via author connections of my wife), so we've been gifted a week of gîte accommodation in the South of France around the Easter weekend, so arranging a shoot or two in Toulouse as we go to press. Why not work with a local if you can?

So, one or two more shoots remaining this month, and I'm still very much knee-deep in editing March's images. It was a 9-shoot extravaganza. I haven't worked that frequently since the studio days of 2 to 3 shoots a week.

This month's content

But what you're here for is to see what content delights await you in this sunset half of April, no? OK, strap in, there's a lot!

First up in the second part of April will be this land girl inspired fashion/portrait set I shot with Isla Rose. A true Yorkshire Rose, although she was less than complimentary about my ability to make a brew, the cheek!

Good Friday sees a little more flesh, albeit artfully done, as I share the art nudes Tillie and I shot together on our very first shoot.

We head to a model from north of the border for Easter Monday's treat. A floral-esque fashion look with brunette beauty, Cher P.

Bringing it closer to home is Yorkshire-based model Mia Resa. I had such a blast with Mia. It was like shooting with an old friend, even though it was the first time we worked together. You'll definitely enjoy this very moody sheer look.

Now there's a movement of fans who are devoted to rib porn (I'm not sure exactly how to phrase it). Basically, the obvious presence of ribs in shots. I doubt it's about emaciated models, more about how to intelligently and successfully create interesting shapes with lighting and a model's toned torso.

So welcome back, Scarlot Rose.

And in the final week of the month, we will welcome back Natasha Bella with a stripey fashion look that was full of fun!

And we round out the month with a fab red dress and gothic mask combo look from dark beauty stylist extraordinaire, Ambellina.

This shoot was a lot of fun. Still early days for me in the studio, but Ambellina came with her back of styling tricks and we got to work creating a range of dark beauty looks. She really rocks the goth vibe and her eye for styling was exquisite. Shot
