Shooting update
Yesterday, I was back in Liverpool at Libre working with three new models on a portfolio day. I do love these as a counterpoint to working with more experienced models. They force me to direct more, and work in a more commercial style. That's it now for June. A few shoots in July to come.

I mentioned in a previous feature that I struggled to understand how my and Artemis's paths hadn't crossed before this year, but when we did meet, and shoot, it was like where have you been?!

So, hot on the heels of our inaugural shoot at Silkwood, we reunited at Basford in March for round two!
With an extended shoot time of 6 hours, we were free to explore concepts and ideas that neither of us had before we were in the room. There's a fab Vettriano inspired look I'll be sharing with you all soon. But today, we're looking at a colourful portrait set shot in Basford's new studio.

It's been a long time coming, and I know Leanne and Simon have ploughed a lot of love and a not insignificant financial investment in the latest addition to this great venue.

I think Artemis and I were the second team to shoot in the new studio, and Leanne had left up this wonderful hand-painted backdrop that a local artist had made for her. Upon seeing it, Artemis said, “I have just the thing!”, and emerged in this complimentary coloured suit.
As we were getting back into shooting after a lunch break, a portrait set made sense and off we went.
