Shooting update

Life has a way of getting in the way sometimes. These posts are often written a month or two in advance, and so I'm editing it after the event to provide an update.

On the 12th I was supposed to be shooting with Dina over in my hometown of Grimsby. Indeed, I was actually en route when I got the phone call no-one wants to hear. My wife had been thrown from a horse whilst on a riding lesson.

Shot swiftly postponed and a u-turn performed followed by utilising Porsche engineering to get back to Leeds pretty damn quickly.

What followed was 13 hours in A&E whilst we waited to hear the prognosis. Thankfully the damage was a bump to the head, a broken wrist (which needs plating) and a compressed L1 vertebrae with no lasting damage.

So whilst she's in a ton of pain, she can walk and should make a full recovery. As such my plan to shoot this month has been canned. Both remaining shoots are now rescheduled for December, and I've managed to snag a November date with a promising new model.

Today's content

We go back to the final shoot of my first European trip of the year, today, and the last set of an awesome experience with Elena (Nausicaa Yami).

Elena was due to head off to Bali for a much needed multi-month break not long after this shoot, I was a bit knackered as this was my 15th shoot in 5 days, so I think we were both ready to down tools for a while.

Having said that I never sensed any lack of energy from Elena. She gave me everything she wanted to give me, everything I asked for and I felt the shoot worked well.
